Description
The Archconfraternity Cross
The official cross of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face is shown on page 83 of the Archconfraternity manual. This cross is a faithful and meticulous reproduction of the original, commissioned by the League of St Martin in .925 Sterling Silver.
The cross is antiqued to bring out the definition on the text, to improve the visibility on each arm and especially in the center medallions on both the obverse (the image of Our Lord on St Veronica’s Veil during his Passion) and the reverse ( IHS, Reparation and Pii IX 1847).
Each cross is hand-cast and then hand-finished by the artisan jeweler, River’s Edge Gems, creating a unique piece of high quality, craft jewelry.
The smaller crosses are cast by individual single-use 3D wax molds necessary to maintain the fine detail of the center medallions, especially to retain the legibility of the raised text.
Holy Face Cross
The Cross of the Holy Face is a devotional cross bearing the image Our Lord’s face as it is appears on the Shroud of Turin. It is especially appropriate for those who have a special devotion to Our Lord in his death
