Whimsical Agate Gemstone Earrings
“I wanted to do something a little whimsical with these earrings,” says the designer behind River’s Edge Gems in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
It began with a pair of charming agate “bullet” stones, which were then matched with bright, unexpected gemstone accents:

5mm x 3mm oval Chrome Tourmaline cabochons

2mm round Citrine cabochons, set in 14K yellow gold
To make them even more playful, the gemstone arrangement is reversed on each earring, giving the pair a mirrored balance. The finished earrings measure approximately 1 ⅝ inches long, making them a delightful everyday piece that’s also refined enough for evening wear.
